1949年3月，創辦人Mitsugu Tanabe於第二次世界大戰後，他對美國棒球的野心驅使他辭去工作，為棒球用品建立了一家縫紉廠。在日本福井成立了工廠TANABE MERIYASU，在一間小房間裡從三台縫紉機開始做起。憑藉其與生俱來的創造力，他開發了新的縫紉技術和機器，以完成自己的全新設計，同時公司為連續10年參加全國高中棒球錦標賽的每位球員捐贈了長襪，並以產品質量贏得了很高的聲譽，Jackman的縫紉廠現已擁有60多年的歷史。它擁有現代化的機械及舊專業的縫紉機，Jackman是Mitsugu Tanabe創辦人的靈魂下在日本福井成立的工廠品牌。
