1949年3月，創辦人Mitsugu Tanabe於第二次世界大戰後，他對美國棒球的野心驅使他辭去工作，為棒球用品建立了一家縫紉廠。在日本福井成立了工廠TANABE MERIYASU，在一間小房間裡從三台縫紉機開始做起。憑藉其與生俱來的創造力，他開發了新的縫紉技術和機器，以完成自己的全新設計，同時公司為連續10年參加全國高中棒球錦標賽的每位球員捐贈了長襪，並以產品質量贏得了很高的聲譽，Jackman的縫紉廠現已擁有60多年的歷史。它擁有現代化的機械及舊專業的縫紉機，Jackman是Mitsugu Tanabe創辦人的靈魂下在日本福井成立的工廠品牌。

此款單品靈感來自於棒球休息室中等待輪到比賽時觀看比賽進展的球員或已完成輪次的球員所穿的外套衫，並加以改良設計，採用蘇格蘭羊毛及聚酯纖維編織而成，也因編織方式較為鬆散，會含有些許的溫暖空氣在纖維內部，不會輕易散熱，所以帶有良好的保暖效果，下擺兩側皆有調節抽繩，適合與其他單品做層次疊穿，露出內裡的單品，使整體視覺更豐富 !
